East Sussex Enterprise Hub

What They Do

"Ian has worked for the East Sussex Enterprise Hub over the last 3 years. He has a real flair with business advice and interventions and a real drive and determination to identify solutions for clients which has earned him widespread respect across the East Sussex Business community, and with many academic/research establishments across the South East Region. I fully endorse Ian's work and his ability to make things happen."

Jim Christy

Hub Director, East Sussex Enterprise Hub

The Enterprise Hub network was established by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) to provide intensive, hands-on, practical support to innovative businesses across the South East who had the potential to grow quickly. The services offered were hands-on, practical and tailored to the clients specific needs. The Enterprise Hubs also differed from other business support agencies in that they aimed to develop long-term relationships with the client businesses so that they can fully understand the clients issues and help the company through all the obstacles encountered as they grew.

How I helped

"Ian has been great asset to the Hub and its operations. He has helped a number of Hub clients in a very professional and supportive manner to achieve their goals and move their business forward."

Business & Enterprise Manager at Sea Space

Reydoog Consultancy Services was contracted by Jim Christy, the East Sussex Enterprise Hub director, to help deliver these services to companies across East Sussex and Brighton over a three year period. In this role, our consultant worked as part of the extended Hub team to deliver business support services to a range of micro-businesses across East Sussex and Brighton who were looking to commercialise new ideas. Our consultant specialised in fund-raising and business planning and helped to write and review over 50 business plans and over 100 grant applications. Our consultant also specialised in working with Universities and intensively supported over 100 businesses and helped to raise over £2m in funding for the businesses. In particular Reydoog Consultancy Services was charged with working with highly technical, innovative companies where our consultants PhD and academic background proved vital to grasp technical concepts and to interact effectively with the inventors and developers of new technology. In addition our consultant worked across the Hub's client group on reviewing/writing grant applications, business plans or when the protection of IP is involved as these are our main areas of expertise.
