Tissue Viability Consultancy Services (TVCS)

What They Do

"Ian has been advising Tissue Viability Consultancy Services in order to help us to move forwards. He has been great at advising us in a number of business areas and is also great at networking us with agencies / companies who can assist us."

Fiona Collins

Co-founder and co-owner of TVCS

TVCS run a wound healing centre which specialises in treating long-standing difficult to heal wounds across Eastbourne and the surrounding area and have plans to expand this service to other sites across the country. The TVCS service is very unique and, as well as their success in healing wounds (82% of non-healing wounds healed in 6 weeks), they also offer a consulting service to wound product manufacturers in evaluating their products, publish the results and gain acceptance for the product in the health care community. They also advise on seating issues and work as expert witnesses in cases of wound care negligence.

How I helped

"Ian has been extremely supportive to us with ideas and practical help that has proven invaluable in marketing and developing our business which is now rapidly expanding. We are in his debt."

Sylvie Hamptom

Co-founder and co-owner of TVCS

Sat in meetings with a series of potential investors and large corporations looking to partner with the TVCS and advised on commercial strategy and the best way to work with the opportunities. Helped company develop strategy with a high growth coach provided by SEEDA and helped to develop business plan and cash flow forecast. Advised on trademarks and patenting opportunities on a new product that TVCS were considering developing. Also offered the support that was required by offering advice in the decision making process.

Where They Are Now

TVCS have now become so successful that they are now working on a franchise model, opening up national and international opportunities in wound healing. The business has developed from a team of 4, when I first become involved, to a team now of 14 and this is expected to increase hugely once the franchises are set up and wound healing centres are established across the country. I was pleased to lend my business acumen to the TVCS owners, (who are clinicians and not from a business background), providing them with the skills they required to build their business to its present success.
